Aberdeen: It's closer than you think

Aberdeen Airport (ABZ), at Dyce in the north of the city, directly serves a number of domestic and international destinations including Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway and Spain. Additional budget airlines fly into Glasgow and Edinburgh (e.g. Ryanair, Easyjet), which connect easily to Aberdeen by train (2.5 hours) or bus. Route maps highlighting the direct flights to the three cities can be found here: for Aberdeen, for Edinburgh, for Glasgow.

Scotland has an extensive rail and bus network; Megabus offers intercity bus tickets, some for as little as £1.50 when booked well in advance. The cheapest train fares go on sale approximately 12 weeks prior to travel (i.e. booking earlier than that will not save you money) and the cheapest fares can often be found on East Coast and the Trainline. Reduced rail travel: Congress delegates are eligible for a 20% reduction on UK train fares, using a code that will be released closer to the time.
