Abstract Submissions

The XXVI Congress of the European Society of Rural Sociology (ESRS) welcomes papers which address these questions of how individuals, communities and land-based businesses across Europe negotiate change in the context of neoliberalism and how rural areas become places of possibility and potentiality for everyone.

At the ESRS congress, papers are presented within working groups:  sub-themes proposed to the scientific committee by members of the ESRS. Abstracts of no more than 250 words are requested by 30 January 2015, and should be submitted directly through the on-line submission system. the working group co-ordinators will review the abstracts and applicants will be notified of their acceptance to present to the conference.

We request that each abstract be submitted to only one working group; in cases where an abstract is not accepted to the preferred working group, it will then be forwarded to other relevant working groups for consideration.  We also ask that each participant submit no more than two first-authored abstracts.

More information on the individual working groups and the on the call for abstracts can be found here.
